The release of Street Fighter IV in 2009 opened a lot of eyes, and brought Capcom back to the top of the fighting genre. Many of us were impressed with its distinctive new look, crisp fighting mechanics and a surprising but very effective return to a 2D plane as we embraced our love for the series once again.
Now they’re coming back to take us for a ride again! Just announced at their Captivate ’10 event, Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is headed our way with a similar style and scope as their smash hit from last year. The debut trailer has unveiled Wolverine, Hulk and Iron Man against Ryu, Morrigan and Chris Redfield so far, with many more sure to follow in the enormous roster tradition of its predecessors.
It has the ink heavy, exaggerated movement that defined Street Fighter IV, and I’m really excited to get this game. My Tournament Edition arcade stick is back in action, let’s see what you got!
